MAUSTON EMS HAS EXPANDED!!

Additional EMT’s and Paramedics Needed.

Mauston Area Ambulance is a fast-growing service seeking career-minded individuals looking for a rewarding opportunity. We are a private, non-profit organization now serving twenty municipalities throughout Juneau County. Mauston EMS is a WI licensed Paramedic Level service with Critical Care Endorsement. The population we serve is approximately 20,566 residents, but during the summer tourist season our community grows substantially with Castle Rock Lake being the heart of our community. Mauston is centrally located between the Twin Cities and Chicago off I-90/94.

An ideal candidate would possess the desire to serve others and their needs, be capable of offering solutions and provide consistent quality care. Our rural EMS setting requires critical-thinking skills and aggressive treatment care plans during field activations. We perform interfacility transfers, but only from one local critical access hospital. We also have an aeromedical partnership utilized for most field activations.

“Posting” or “staging” in parking lots is non-existent in our organization, as both of our stations are centrally located with extremely comfortable crew quarters during downtime. At our stations, crews prepare and eat supper together most evenings. All 911 ambulances are equipped with Stryker Power Stretchers/Load Systems to promote back safety and injury prevention, LifePak 15’s, Sapphire IV pumps, and Automatic Transport Vents. Our Critical Care Team utilizes the Hamilton Ventilator. We also have Horton Conversion Ambulances equipped with Horton’s Occupant Protection System (HOPS) for the safety of our patients and our team.

Our Service is like no other. If you’re looking for a Service that will challenge your intellect and skills to the full potential, you’ve found it. Mauston EMS has very progressive protocols, and given its rural setting, everything you learned in class will be tested. We expect our employees to treat patients up to their full scope of practice and consider definitive care outcomes, so patients receive the definitive care they need when time counts.

To summarize, our pay and benefits are competitive. Our retirement program is very generous with an employer match of 5% plus an additional 5% profit-sharing contribution. When an employee contributes 5%, the company matches that 5% and gives you an additional 5%... that’s a 15% contribution! We train daily and enjoy spending time with our station dog, Sanibel.

If any of these interests you, we strongly encourage you to contact us and arrange for a ride-along. This will give you a taste of a day in the life at Mauston EMS.
