St. Croix EMS/City of Hudson
Full-time Paramedic

St. Croix Emergency Medical Service and the City of Hudson has two openings for full-time paramedics. The base wage for this position is $19.49 per hour. Candidate with Critical Care certification have a base wage of $20.03 per hour.

Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a minimum of one-year of experience as a paramedic, be a nationally-registered Paramedic, and have licensure as a Paramedic with the State of Wisconsin. Paramedics who are hired and who do not currently posess critical care certifications, must obtain said certification within one year of hire.

PART-TIME EMT POSITIONS

St. Croix Emergency Medical Service and the City of Hudson have several openings for .6 (24 hrs per week) EMTs and AEMTs.  Day and evening shifts are available. The base wage for this position is $12.50 for EMTs and $13.00 for AEMTs (or EMT-I).  

Applicants must be 18 years of age, be nationally-registered, and have licensure (or be eligible) as an EMT or AEMT with the State of Wisconsin.

COUNTY RESCUE SERVICES, INC.

PARAMEDIC OPENINGS

County Rescue Services (CRS) is a non-profit organization that has been in operation since 1982. We employ a variety of licensed medical personnel ranging from Volunteer Medical First Responders to Critical Care Trained (CCT) Paramedics. CRS medical personnel respond from each of our four stations located throughout Northeast Wisconsin. In addition to Emergency 911 response, County Rescue also provides local and long distance, non-emergency stretcher transport and paramedic assistance to outlying ambulance services.

CRS is currently seeking to fill multiple full-time line paramedic positions.  Our paramedics are responsible for responding to requests for emergency medical services and for providing Basic and Advanced Life Support to sick and injured persons at emergency scenes and during transport to or from health care facilities. Duties during a scheduled work period will be assigned as necessary by the Shift Duty Supervisor.

 Line medical, full-time employees will meet the requirements of, and be able to perform the essential functions of the position of EMT (Basic/Advanced/Paramedic). As one of the conditions of continued employment all line medical, full-time employees must hold and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver's license, a Wisconsin paramedic licensure, a Wisconsin CCT endorsement is preferred but may be provided as required.  CRS may provide, as required, the individual employed in this position to obtain flight qualifications in order to serve as a paramedic for its fixed and/or rotary wing air medical transport operations.

Paramedic w/ Critical Care Endorsement

  Reedsburg Ambulance

Reedsburg Ambulance is seeking a Wisconsin Licensed Paramedic with Critical Care Endorsement to fill the position of Captain. The Captain supervises and directs the daily delivery of skilled emergency and nonemergency services in a variety of areas including emergency medical and rescue operations, advanced medical assistance, mentoring, training, quality improvement, public education, volunteer agency coordination, mass casualty management, and other duties as required. 

This position serves as the officer in charge of a shift. The Captain will be assigned to a shift that works a 56- hour work schedule and supervises the on call EMT’s, AEMT’s, and Paramedics. Reedsburg Ambulance has five ambulances and has a call volume of over 2000 calls a year.

Job Summary:
The purpose of the EMT is to provide high quality basic life support to all individuals living or merely traveling through the service area. The EMT shall provide emergency medical service to include: assessment, medical care to their level of licensed skill, and transport of the patient to appropriate medical treatment facilities. The EMT shall give care to sick, disabled, and/or injured individuals from assessment of signs, symptoms, and/or complaints before determining hospital location and /or patient's request. Responsibilities:
Respond to emergency 911 dispatch calls in a calm, professional, and expeditious manner.

Respond to directions from dispatch while driving an ambulance to the specified location at a safe and controlled speed (within conformity to state and local laws and regulations).
Assess the nature, dispatched information, and scene size up to aid in determining injury and/or illness to prioritize medical course of action.

Contact and communicate with appropriate hospital staff to determine any further medical treatment beyond the Service Medical Directors protocols for care.

Complete all documentation for hospital and state.
Participate in Ambulance training as well as any other training required to maintain EMT's skills, certifications and license.
Exhibit strong moral and professional character while on call.

Qualifications:
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Advanced EMTs (EMT Intermediate Technician)

Cambridge Area EMS is looking for Advanced EMTs (EMT Intermediate Technician) who can work an average of two weekdays per week. Shifts are 10 to 12 hours between 4 am and 6 pm Monday through Friday. Must have current licensure in the State of Wisconsin (as an EMT Intermediate Technician or above) and have at least two years experience as an EMT. Eligible applicants will also possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and be eligible for insurability.

Duties include responding to 9-1-1 ambulance calls, writing detailed run reports, and various daily chores including daily and weekly rig checks, cleaning of ambulances, cleaning of quarters and various administrative tasks. Applicants must be available at the ambulance station during on-duty hours.
