Callie recently celebrated 10 years of service this year with Tri-State Ambulance. She began her career as an EMT, advanced on to become a Paramedic, a shift lead, and for the last 2.5 years she has carried the title of Operations Supervisor.
In 2022 Callie was honored as a AAA Star of Life in Washington, DC and continues to be recognized by her colleagues stating that she embodies the spirit of caring and empathy and always goes above and beyond whenever she can. Callie recognizes those who need help without them asking. She is an amazing role model for all of us in and out of the EMS field.
Callie cares about our patients and her team. When we have tough calls, she’s there offering an ear. When we have long days, she’s there offering to help clean up, get our trucks put back together, be a crew member with us, listen to our stories. She is a supporter of us in ways all managers and supervisors should be. Callie is an exemplary paramedic, supervisor, and coworker. It is rare to find someone who cares as deep and broad as she does. Her willingness to help and ability to understand naturally draws everyone to seek her aid and wisdom. Even with the complexities of her assigned duties she makes the time to always lend a helping hand. She is never afraid to do the job right and inspire others to be their best. If anyone deserves this nomination, it is her.
Congratulations, Callie!
