Steve Ryan precisely aligned his passion to serve with his career choices.  In 1990, Steve began his EMT career as a volunteer EMT and Fire Fighter with Orfordville Fire Department.  A decade later, he transitioned to full time and in 2020 retired as Fire Chief, Orfordville Fire Department.  Not ready to fully retire, Steve joined Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service of Wisconsin, Inc. in 2020 and is currently the Station Manager for our new Janesville Station.  Steve continues to mentor newcomers in the EMS industry and works with seasoned professionals.

Driven by his key strengths; achiever, developer, exceptional leader, and clinical skills, Steve responsibly effectuates these attributes to continuously impact and align his professional duties with the operational needs of the company.

Steve has a passion for baseball which led him to his wife of thirty-three years, Cheryl.  Who would have guessed playing on a league with his wife’s brothers would end in marriage! Steve and Cheryl have two adult children, Breanna Burns and Cole Ryan Strub.  They are proud grandparents to Bailey and Rae Burns.

Steve enjoys Wisconsin’s many lakes for boating and fishing.  Steve and Cheryl enjoy traveling and especially like to escape the cold and head to the Caribbean.
