Recent Election Outcomes and EMS
November 14, 2014 - Run Time 20:39
Guest: Brian Schimming, Partner at Midwest Strategy Group and PAAW Lobbyist
Wisconsin politics was front and center with a number of big and close races during the recent November 4 elections. As an EMS person do I really need to care how these things turn out? Absolutely! EMS and local ambulance services by many standards are driven by decisions made and action taken at local, state and national levels within government.
Brian Schimming is someone well versed in politics. He’s been in and around it for over 25 years. He is a partner at Midwest Strategy Group in Madison; first vice chair for the Wisconsin Republican Party; and political talk show host frequently heard on NewsTalk1310 WIBA in Madison and WISN in Milwaukee and other media outlets. He’s also one of two lobbyists for the Professional Ambulance Association of Wisconsin.
In this webcast, Mr. Schimming offers a perspective on the recent elections, what we can expect in the next few months from state government, and the importance we all have in sharing EMS with elected officials and government leaders.
