Government Relations and Advocacy
The Professional Ambulance Association of Wisconsin actively advocates and represents its members' interests, and the interests of Wisconsin's ambulance services and emergency medical services at-large to elected leaders at state and local levels, as well as to the Wisconsin Department of Health and EMS Section. PAAW's work plan is dedicated to maintaining a healthy, sustainable ambulance and emergency medical services delivery system in Wisconsin.
Government relations work is provided by Matthew Kussow of Madison, WI. PAAW feels strongly a consistent and professional presence at the state capitol is vital for the association, its members, and emergency medical services at-large. Wisconsin Fire and EMS Legislative CoalitionPAAW is a voting member to the Wisconsin Fire and EMS Legislative Coalition. Fellow members meet regularly to advance and strengthen fire and EMS in
Wisconsin through legislation and collaboration. PAAW's involvement is an example of the continually growing presence of our
